"After a good nights rest it was the Soutpans Mountain. The road conditions was better but the strain of the previous day and my lack of fitness meant another long day in the saddle. Although meant to be a winters day, the day was very hot!" When Jaco and me (Ilette) scouted the area we found accommodation (no DBB) which in a way determined the distances to be covered every day. Althouh spaza shops are scattered along the way, we decided that I manage the "mobile support station" for the first 4 days. At Camp Mangwele the owner Godfrey and primary school teacher Edward come to meet us when they saw the lights of the cyclists in the valley.
